LADY LIBERTY REOPENS
The Statue of Liberty reopens on August 3: Visitors will be able to explore the Statue of Liberty museum, peer into the intricate inner structure through a glass ceiling near the base of the statue, and enjoy the 360 degree view from the observation deck on top of the 16-story pedestal. Best of all, a new ticketing system will help eliminate lines.
In celebration of the Statue of Liberty reopening, this month's Cultural Institution of the Month is Ellis Island, the gateway to America for one in four Americans. One price covers ferry service to both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Mention the Cultural Institution of the Month and receive $1 off the $5 ticket price of the Ellis Island play Taste of Freedom and 10% off purchases of $25 or more on Wednesdays in the American Family Immigration History Center.
