Cicconetti, who has a reputation for imposing unorthodox punishments, offered Murray a choice: Three months behind bars or one night in the woods followed by 14 days in jail, 15 days of house arrest and three years of probation.
In addition to the jail time, Murray must pay $3,200 restitution to the Lake County Humane Society and $500 to the Metroparks. The judge also ruled that she can no longer own pets.

Der Richter scheint wirklich berüchtigt für seine schrägen Urteile:
Cicconetti has offered hundreds of defendants unusual sentences during his nine years on the bench. He has ordered teens to stand on a street corner with a sign apologizing for throwing rocks over an overpass, for example, and told a man who fled from police to run in a charity race competing against officers.

Ja inzwischen habe ich auch andere Seiten gefunden. Ich habe fast den Eindruck, dass sie zuerst zur Haftstrafe verurteilt wurde und gestern erst das lustigere Urteil gefällt wurde!

hier noch ein Urteil von dem Richter:
A TEENAGER caught stealing adult videos from a shop in Ohio, USA, will have to stand blindfolded in front of the store as part of his punishment.
The bizarre sentence was passed on Jeremy Sherwood after he was found guilty of theft today.
Judge Michael Cicconetti, who is known for his unusual penalties, said the youth had to serve 60 days in jail for his crime - but suspended 30 of those days.
Sherwood was then given the option of spending the extra time in prison - or of courting public humiliation outside the video store.
He will serve his sentence from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.
The teenager was also was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 15 hours of community service, American broadcaster News Channel 5 reported.

also den Richter finde ich auch richtig gut. :lol:
Obwohl es ja sonst doch des Öfteren äußerst fragwürdige Urteile mit sehr zweifelhafter Logik gibt, wird mir dieser Richter mit seinen Urteilsverkündungen immer sympathischer.

Dem kann ich nur zustimmen. Der Richter ist mir sympathisch. Man muss sagen, dass er doch einen großen Erfindungsgeist hat was seine Strafen anbelangt. Er versucht, die Strafen dahinaus zu richten, dass die Angeklagten nachfühlen was sie selbst verbrochen haben.
