Well, es wird wohl noch eine Weile dauern bis ich darüber fahre, aber eine gute Freundin von uns die in SF lebt und in the east bay arbeitet hat uns folgendes geschrieben:
Got to drive over the new Bay Bridge this week. In my opinion, it's a big nothing! I thought to myself "Is this it??!! The old one is so much more picturesque and artistic. The new one is like driving on the freeway instead of a bridge. It's 2 bridges side by side and lower than the old one which is also a double decker & much more interesting. The new one reminds me of the San Mateo bridge. Boring!! Not to mention that it was supposed to cost $1.4 billion & ended up costing $6. 7 billion. I smell corruption. Get this: they want to name it after Willie Brown!! He didn't even want to build the bridge. Jerry Brown who was the mayor of Oakland at the time was the one who advocated for it. They should keep calling it the bay bridge and not name it after anyone.
