The Telegraph Fire continues to grow - up to 30,000 acres burned. More than 3500 firefighters are battling the blaze. Containment is at 15 per cent. Cal Fire now reports 25 residences and 27 other buildings have been lost. Highway 140 into Yosemite is closed, but the park is still open. Highway 41 is the best bet for getting in to the park. Firefighters say weather conditions are improving, making it easier to battle the blaze.

The following communities remain threatened by the blaze: Mariposa, Midpines, Greeley Hill, Coulterville, El Portal, Morman Bar, and Boot Jack.
Highway 140 will be closed between 8 am and 9 pm 3 miles west of Briceburg and 4 miles west of El Portal at Cedar Lodge.
A mandatory evacuation for the Midpines Community is in effect. An evacuation advisory is in effect for all residences in the immediate fire area, which includes communities East of North Highway 49 at Mykleoaks Road south to the Highway 140 junction. This also includes communities west of Highway 140 from Mariposa north to Briceburg.
