Aurora crowns northern Knik Arm
Forecasters last week predicted a big show of northern lights after a major solar event Tuesday. Unfortunately clouds obscured most of the show until around 2 a.m. Saturday when they cleared to reveal a spectacular sight. The image, looking north from the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, is actually six stitched together. The lights of Anchorage are at lower right.
