Shuttle-Bus im Bryce Canyon

Wir waren jetzt 30.6.2002 im Bryce Canyon und wir haben dieses Bussystem nicht vorgefunden.
Definitv gibt es keine Haltestelle am Parkeingang und nur
die übliche Parkgebühr von $ 20.
Jeder fährt immer noch mit seinem eigenen Auto hinein.
Hat jemand neuere Erfahrungen gemacht?

Hi Jürgen!

Habe keine neueren Infos, aber ich war im September 2000 im Bryce. In den Infounterlagen am Parkeingang war von diesem Bussystem die Rede. Laut den Infos soll es aber nur in den Sommermonaten vorhanden sein und der Zugang zum NP mit dem Auto ist weiterhin möglich. Nähere Infos unter http://www.nps.gov/brca/shuttle.htm.

Hi !

Ich habe das so verstanden, dass der Shuttle keine Pflicht ist (wie bspw. im Zion).

Er fährt am Rim entlang die einzelnen View-Points an.

The Bryce Canyon Shuttle is designed to leave the hassles of parking a car outside the park. Leave your car at the Shuttle Parking area and hop on the bus into the park. Our three different shuttle lines ensure smooth travel to each of the view points every 10 to 15 minutes.

You can hit all the northern view points, then hike from Bryce Point to Sunrise Point and catch the shuttle back to your car, back to the lodge, or back to your campground.

There are also cars available for rent outside the park. Horseback rides available inside the park. Biking is allowed on paved roads only. There are no mountain biking trails within the park.

Hallo Jürgen,

so wie es aussieht, wurde der Shuttlebus-Service zurückgefahren. Er wird nur noch von 14. Juni bis 15. August angeboten und es verkehrt nur noch eine Linie.

Diese Line verkehrt im 10 Minuten-Takt so: Ruby's Inn-Ruby's Campground-Visitor Center-Sunset Campground-Bryce Point-Inspiration Point-Sunset Point-Lodge-Sunrise Point-Visitor Center-Ruby's Inn

Der Fairyland Point und die weiter südlich gelegenen Viewpoints bis Rainbowpoint werden leider nicht mehr angefahren.
