Von Southampton nach London und zurück mit dem Flieger

Heja liebes Forum !

Ich habe mal wieder ne kleine Frage. Wollen im November ne (Kurz-) Kreuzfahrt machen, Ziel ist Southampton.
Würde dann gerne noch von Southampton nach London und dort mindestens 2 Nächte bleiben. Wie komme ich am besten (schnellsten/günstigsten) von Southampton Hafen in die Londoner Innenstadt ? Und welcher Flughafen ist von der Innenstadt am besten erreichbar ? Heathrow oder der andere ? Natürlich auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Ich war noch nie in London. Und wo wir schon dabei sind, könnt ihr mir ein Hotel in London empfehlen ?

Wir waren grad in London und sind von/bis Gatwick geflogen. Der liegt zwar recht weit außerhalb südlich der Stadt (etwa auf dem halben Weg nach Brighton), ist aber mit Öffis gut zu erreichen. Man kann mit dem überteuerten Gatwick Express in ca. 30 Minuten direkt zur Victoria Station fahren oder - so wie wir - mit der FCC (First Capitol Connect) in etwa derselben Zeit und günstiger (pro Strecke und Person etwa 10,- GBP zum Bahnhof London Bridge.

Gewohnt haben wir hier: http://www.citizenm.com/london-bankside. Perfekte Lage (zu Fuß zum London Eye, zur Tower Bridge und zum tollen Borough Market, Tate Modern um die Ecke, Vapiano Restaurant und Marks & Spencer direkt gegenüber), sehr gute Anbindung (Bus RV1 nach Covent Garden resp. Tower Bridge hält direkt vor der Tür), überaus freundliches Personal, tolle Zimmerausstattung insbesondere für Technik-Aficionados). Leider musste das Zimmer vom Housekeeping bei unserer Ankunft nachgearbeitet werden, da es nicht 100% sauber war. Würde unter dem Strich aufgrund der Pluspunkte wieder dort absteigen.

Ach ja, und London ist einfach großartig!

Mit dem Zug. Fliegen lohnt wohl kaum für 130km. Da Southampton DER Kreuzfahrthafen in England schlechthin ist, gibt es mit Sicherheit adäquate Zugverbindungen nach London.

• Billigste: National Express scheduled buses.
(Full size 50 seat coaches with washrooms that depart from London's Victoria Coach Stations. They do not go to the cruise terminals, you will need a taxi between Southampton Bus Station and one of Southampton's four cruise terminals.)

• Schnellste: Southampton train services, faster than a taxi.
(Several trains an hour run between Southampton Central Station and London's Waterloo Station. Like the National Express buses you will need a taxi between Southampton Train Station that is very close to the Coach Station and one of Southampton's four cruise terminals.)

• Door to door shared Service: Southampton Cruise Bus Shuttles. (These are normally full size touring buses that pick-up and drop at all the major Central London hotel districts and go to the cruise terminals with a break half way at Stonehenge.)

• Von Southampton nach London: Southampton transfer tours - mit Sightseeing!
(A proper guided tour in a luxury touring coach visiting major attractions like Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge before dropping you off at your hotel in London late afternoon/early evening.)

• Geld spielt keine Rolle: Private car service door to door at a time specified by you. If you have a group there are vans, even coaches available.
