erlaubte Aufenthaltsdauer bei der Einreise mit ESTA

Das mit 90 Tagen hat man mir über die allgemeine Auskunft des amerikanischen Konsulats in Frankfurt  gesagt, aber entweder hat sie mich nicht verstanden oder sie haben da wohl wirklich keine Ahnung - da bekommt man immer unterschiedliche Auskünfte und man sollte doch lieber die sündhaft teure 0900-Nummer anrufen, wenn man genaue Infos bekommen will.

Ich habe aber was gefunden auf einer offiziellen Seite

"When traveling to the U.S. with the approved ESTA, you may only stay for up to 90 days at a time - and there should be a reasonable amount of time between visits so that the CBP Officer does not think you are trying to live here. There is no set requirement for how long you must wait between visits."

Was natürlich "reasonable amount of time" is, bleibt dem IO vor Ort überlassen. Und es heisst auch, dass, wie ich schon dachte, ich offiziell keine 6 Monate bis zur nächsten Einreise warten muss. Leider können die IO's wohl ihre eigenen regeln aufstellen und den lieben Gott spielen. Demnach kommt es alles darauf an, an welchen IO man gelangt und ob er/sie dich aus welchen Gründen auch immer  "mag" oder nicht.

It all comes down to convincing the officer at the port of entry that you are not living in the U.S., just visiting and you will leave on time."

Steh glaub ich für "Waiver Tourist", dass du also als Tourist über VWP einreist.

Es gibt da auch andere Einträge im Stempel "WB", "B1", "B2", etc pp, je nach Art des Visums
