Motel beim Great Basin / Ely

Hi,
wir wollen zum Great Basin NP und kommen über die 50 von Westen her. Es gibt ja da wohl ein paar Motels direkt vor dem Park in Baker, von denen ich aber gelesen habe, dass sie nicht so toll sein sollen. Die andere Möglichkeit wäre, in Ely zu übernachten.
Hat da irgendjemand Erfahrungen, Tips?

In Ely war ich vor eeeewigen Zeiten mal im dortigen Motel 6. Ist ganz OK soweit ich mich erinnern kann, halt wie alle Motel 6, einfach aber sauber normalerweise.

Vorsicht vor preiswerten Unterkünften in Ely! Wir haben von Ely den Eindruck, dass der ganze Ort ziemlich, sagen wir mal, in die Jahre gekommen ist. Man sieht es ihm buchstäblich an, dass es dort mal besser war...
Ich müsste mal nachschauen, wie das Haus heisst, wo wir übernachtet haben. Wenn man aus östlicher Richtung in die Stadt kommt, trifft man auf eine Gabelung. Das Motel liegt nach Rechtsabbiegen direkt auf der linken Straßenseite. Von aussen sah es noch ganz ok aus (hat übrigens einen angeschlossenen Liquor store). Das Zimmer war völlig verwohnt und auch nicht ganz sauber.
Ich versuch mal, den Namen rauszubekommen. War allerdings auch das billigste, was wir dort gefunden haben.
Ely ist auch nicht unbedingt eine Reise wert...

Dass Ely keine Reise wert ist, ist mir klar. Ich habe nur gelesen, dass Baker noch schlimmer ist.
