Ich habe ein Hotel bei Hotwire gebucht, was auch bestätigt wurde und alles. Jetzt, 3 Tage später bekomme ich folgende Mail:

We were notified by the hotel they will be unable to honor your reservation for the nights of your stay. Our Customer Care Associates are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you. Our customers are very important to us, and we would like to ensure that out are provided with the best possible experience, options are available.
If we can be of further assistance, please contact us directly by phone. Thank you for choosing Hotwire.

Unter der toll-free Nummer erreicht man niemanden, also ne eMail hingeschickt. Nach einigem Hin-und Her bekam ich das:

The first option is to rebook with Hotwire. You would contact Hotwire Customer Care at one of the telephone numbers listed below. We would conduct a search for a hotel comparable to what you originally booked, and cover the difference in rates.
You may also book a reservation on your own in something comparable to what you originally booked. We understand this may be difficult to locate. Provided the new reservation is for the same dates, number of guests, and rooms as originally booked, there is no limit as far as the rate is concerned. Once you have checked out, you would fax us a copy of the receipt and your Hotwire Itinerary so we can locate your reservation. This process may take 7 to 10 business days, and you will receive the results via email.
If neither of these are suitable to you, the third option is a full refund of what you were charged for your Egerton House reservation.

Hat das schon mal jemand gehabt und wie habt Ihr dann verfahren.
Verstehe ich das richtig, daß man uns anbietet (Option 2) mit Hotwire ein entsprechendes Hotel zu buchen und dann die Differenz zu übernehmen ?
