Hallo!!
Bin vom 9-12.7.2011 für 3 Nächte in Seattle! Hostel ist das City Hostel Seattle 2327 2nd Ave.
Kennt irgendjemand von euch dort günstige Parkplätze in der nähe?? Vielleicht war ja schon mal einer in diesem Hostel und hatte das gleiche Problem!

Günstig Parken in Seattle wird wohl ein Akt der Unmöglichkeit sein, ich habe es am eigenen Leib erfahren dürfen :)
Eventuell absoluter Stadtrand und dann mit Bus und Metro, falls euch das kostentechnisch so weit umwirft.
Seattle ist eine beliebte Stadt, umso beliebter die Parkplätze.

Wie sind denn so die preise? ich meine bevor ich stundenlang mit bus oder bahn fahre dann bezahl ich lieber! habe gelesen das man so 15-20$ pro Tag rechnen muss.

Ja, diese Preis sind nicht ungewöhnlich und diese Preise wirst du auch in San Francisco und Co finden.
Abends gibt es an der Waterfront ganz humane Angebote, da solltet ihr euch mal was anschauen. Meist direkt unter der Autobahnbrücke, die an der Waterfront verläuft.
Meine Reiseführer sagte, daß man dort sogar gratis parken könne (Reise-Know-How), ich habe leider nichts derartiges gefunden.

Seattle Parking?
Parking on street FREE after 6pm. Street parking is $2.50 an hour. There is a lot behind the Hostel: Early bird at 8am is $10 to evening and another $10 through morning. Cheapest is to park in the nearby Residental area and walk 20 mins back to hostel. Remember Parking in any city can be expensive , plan accordingly and ask for local advice , it could save you big bucks.
Wo die Residental area anfängt, kann ich Dir leider nicht sagen.

Paid parking hours of operation are generally 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Parking may be pre-purchased as early as 4:00 am and will be in effect starting at 8:00 am. Pay stations will not accept payment between 6:00 pm and 4:00 am.
Drivers should be aware that in some locations there are restricted parking hours to accommodate morning or evening rush hours. Restricted hours are clearly noted on the face graphic on the pay stations, and on signs along the curb. Please observe restricted hours - a vehicle parked during restricted hours could be towed.

Das bedeutet also, bis morgens 8:00 Uhr kann man kostenlos parken. Klingt doch schon mal ganz gut!
