Reisegruppen mit denen man hin und zurückfliegen kann aber trotzdem genug zeit hat die stadt auf eigene faust zu erkunden??

also klar bin ich froh, wenn wer dabei ist, der deutsch spricht und der sich in NY "auskennt" aber ich möchte halt nicht täglich hinter einer reiseleiterin hergurken...

außerdem sollte das Hotel nicht teuer sein und ziemlich zentral liegen..
das doofe ist, dass ich erst 20 bin wenn ich da bin... wird wohl nahezu unmöglich abends mal einen club zu besuchen?? auf alk kann ich verzichten.. aber würd halt abends schon gerne mal tanzen gehen...

na ja, 1,5 Jahre im voraus lässt sich leider nicht viel über Angebote sagen. Vielleicht wird es bis dahin einen Anbieter geben. Die meisten geführten Reisen sind eben straff organisiert.

Könntest Du dir nicht vorstellen alleine oder mit jemand zu reisen ? Mit 20 ist es halt schwierig einen Mietwagen zu bekommen bzw. in Clubs zu gehen. Das geht meist erst ab 21.

Clubs definitv erst ab 21 Jahren. Es wird immer ein ID kontrolliert. Auch wenn du
wie 25 oder 30 ausschaust.

Du wirst aber sicherlich keinen Reisegruppe finden, die organisiert für 1 Woche nach
New York fliegt. Da ist meist immer eine Busrundreise mit dabei. Pakete, wo Flug,
Hotel etc für 3 oder 4 Tage inkludiert sind, haben so weit ich weiß keine spezielle
Reiseleitung vor Ort.

It's 10 o'clock. Do you know where your children are? Kids as young as 16 can get into some of the hot spots listed below, at least on certain nights. If you are planning on heading out, you will still need proof of age, and you will definitely be carded for alcohol.

Von allen großen Reiseveranstaltern werden Shoppingtouren nach NYC angeboten, wobei m.E. das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen organisierten Reisen recht gut ist. Meist hat man viel Zeit auf eigene Faust in der Stadt plus es wird zusätzlich eine Fahrt zu einer großen Mall (Wo.... ???, der Name fällt mir gerade nicht ein) außerhalb New Yorks angeboten. Die Kataloge für Weihnachten 2009 werden aber wahrscheinlich erst im Frühjahr 2009 rauskommen, da musst Du Dich noch ein bisschen gedulden.

Ich war übrigens das erste Mal mit 19 Jahre alleine und auf eigene Faust in NYC. Wenn Du ein bisschen unternehmungslustig bist, ist das auch kein Problem.

noch eine frage: mit wieviel geld muss ich UNGEFÄHR rechnen, wenn ich eine woche nach ny fliege??

also nur für flug+unterkunft.. (soll jetzt auch keine baracke sein..so "standardmäßig" halt...

habe so mit 1200 (+/- 200 euro) gerechnet...

Hol dir doch mal im Reisebüro Kataloge der verschiedenen Veranstalter für die laufende bzw. kommende Saison. Das Angebot an derartigen Touren bleibt mit kleinen Änderungen oft von Saison zu Saison gleich, so dass du schon mal erste Anhaltspunkte hast, was überhaupt als organisierte Tour angeboten wird. Die Preise können sich natürlich deutlich ändern, was insbesondere an den steigenden Spritkosten (Flüge) und dem schwankenden Dollarkurs liegt.

Wenn du eine organisierte Tour unternehmen willst und fündig wirst, dann wird dir der Reisekatalog vermutlich auch den Preis verraten. Insoweit sind Einschätzungen von uns eigentlich nicht relevant.  :wink:

Wenn du deine Tour selbst organisierst und alleine fliegst, wird es von den Übernachtungskosten her gesehen vermutlich übel. Die Zimmerpreise in New York sind ziemlich hoch, und der Zimmerpreis bleibt relativ gleich, ganz egal, ob du ein Zimmer alleine nutzt oder zu zweit (und den Preis teilen kannst).

Schau doch mal bei Seiten wie www.tripadvisor.com vorbei und suche nach Hotels in New York. Da erhältst du einen ersten Überblick über die verfügbaren Hotels, die Preise, und welche Kommentare frühere Gäste zu den Hotels abgegeben haben. Die sind zwar generell auch mit Vorsicht zu genießen, geben aber erst mal einen guten Einblick, ob das Hotel ok ist oder eher in die Kategorie "Kakerlakenburg" fällt. Du kannst bei der Sortierung ja mal mit "niedrigster Preis zuerst" anfangen und dich dann durch Kommentare wie "unbedingt vermeiden" preislich nach oben arbeiten.

Evtl. wäre eine Jugendherberge (YMCA) eine Alternative für dich.

Einen konkreten Übernachtungstipp habe ich leider nicht. Das Hotel, in dem wir mal waren, existiert nicht mehr.

Zur Kostenminimierung sind Hostels natürlich ideal. Daher mein Tipp: Falls du noch nie in einem Hostel warst überwinde dich einfach mal, zumindest für eine Nacht und schau ob das auch geht. Macht nämlich schon einen Unterschied ob man 150€ oder 15€ die Nacht für ein Bett ausgibt. Es gibt in Manhattan genug Hostels.. Mehr oder weniger gut, und auch Buchungsseiten mit Bewertungen. (Der Tipp mit YMCA ist schlecht, es gibt nämlich kein YMCA in Manhattan und die YMCA's sind auch meist eher gruselig)
