WHAT IS A CAMP HOST?
A camp host is a volunteer, who is allowed to camp free of charge within a State Park. A camp host must perform light housekeeping duties and advise, assist and inform fellow campers of park rules and regulations, and available facilities on the property, in the local area and within the Department.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF A CAMP HOST?
To be available for scheduled duty a minimum of five days a week: not less than a minimum of three hours a day.
Practice good housekeeping at all times.
Observe and obey all Park rules and regulations
Have a valid vehicle admission sticker (or service sticker) properly affixed to windshield.
Help keep campground presentable by picking up litter and performing light maintenance and housekeeping chores.
To wear appropriate attire when 'on duty': vest or shirt, cap and name tags assigned by the forest.
To display the sign designating the host site at all times.
