FLAGSTAFF - Officials have stopped searching for a German hiker who went missing on a remote part of the Navajo reservation in northeastern Arizona.
Reinhard Kirchner, 61, was reported overdue on April 12, Coconino County sheriff's officials said. Teams spent six days combing about 56 square miles of rugged and remote terrain but found no sign of the missing man.
Kirchner is reportedly an avid and experienced hiker who has visited the United States several times and has done extensive hiking in the Colorado Plateau area. advertisement
