Northwest Airlines Drops Free In-flight Meals
« am: 19.02.2005, 02:30 Uhr »
Zitat
Northwest Airlines (NW) in March will end complimentary meal service in coach on the long domestic flights where they are currently still being served, and instead offer $3 snacks or $5 sandwiches. Northwest will sell a snack box for $3 that contains brand name nonperishable items, such as chips, crackers, cheese, cookies and raisins. The $5 fresh sandwiches will include vegetarian, deli meat, and breakfast choices. The airline will continue to offer free pretzels and free beverages in coach. First-class and business-class customers will continue to receive complimentary meals on all NW flights of at last two hours duration that occur at meal times. Meals will still be free in coach class on NW flights to-and-from Europe and Asia. Starting 04-Apr-2005, coach passengers will have to pay for food on flights to Hawaii.
