Hallo Angie,
"Incandescence was visible overnight at spatter cones on the crater floor of Pu`u `O`o. The Kahauale`a II lava flow remains active on the 1980s-era `a`a flats at the northern base of Pu`u `O`o. The most distal front of the flow was 1.8 km (1.1 miles) from its source at a spatter cone on the northeast edge of Pu`u `O`o's crater floor on May 24, and appears to have moved very little since. A breakout that started yesterday (May 26) morning from the spatter cone feeding the Kahauale`a II flow was active until early evening last night. Lava from this breakout traveled a short distance down the north flank of Pu`u `O`o cone on and adjacent to the path of the Kahauale`a II flow before stalling.
Southeast of Pu`u `O`o, the Peace Day flow has had a small, persistent breakout on the pali in the abandoned Royal Gardens subdivision, and other breakouts are active on the coastal plain. The largest of the coastal plain breakouts has nosed its way into Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park about a kilometer (0.6 miles) out from the base of the pali. Another tiny breakout remains active near the east margin of the Peace Day flow at the coast. Most of the Peace Day flow, however, is contained within its tube system, which empties into the ocean in at least two places - a main entry point just east of the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park boundary, and a smaller entry point just inside the National Park."
Ich weiss, dass Du wahrscheinlich viel unterwegs bist, aber vielleicht findest Du ja kurz die Gelegenheit zu antworten. Ansonsten riskieren wir es einfach!
Viele Grüße aus Hilo,
Jens
