Hi Philippe
I didn't know that this forum was only reserved to german speaking people, it is my big mistake, I apologize a lot !
your are very welcome to write in the Hiking Board in English - so don't hesitate to do so !
There are not many guys who are so experienced as you are about places in the southwest.

We have a lot of news and articles linked here or quoted that are written in English - that was never a problem to post them in the past.

Gruß Easy

Salut Phillipe,

Palo

Thank you Easy going for your kind words and welcoming, same thanks to mrh400 (je lui dit aussi merci en français), Utah and some others.

I didn't want to pollute this forum but, as you may know, I enjoy to share my passion of the Southwest with my German and Austrian close friends and to meet other German people in the wilderness as Simmo ( http://forum.usa-reise.de/index.php?topic=18807.msg620189#msg620189 ) or Helge (www.derzopfige.de ) during my last trip.

Gruss

Philippe

Hi Philippe,

thank you for your explanation. Now it sounds much better for me.
Nevertheless, I have to tell you that the site you call "Lost City" is currently a closed site which means that no tourist is allowed to enter and there is no guide or permit available. I got my information at the end of may this year from the owners of the Recapture Lodge in Bluff which I think is a very reliable source. I wanted to book a tour there for me and my wife but it wasn't possible any more.  :(
The reason for the closure is that many artefacts have been stolen from this place a while ago. They assume that some people came back the next day after taking a guided tour and robbed the place.

Therefore, I totally support your attitude to not give out information about these sites !  :daumen:

Regards,
Tilman

Hello Tillman,

Thank you for your support and for this interesting up-to-date information (the owner of the Recapture Lodge is trustable). Sorry that you couldn't visit this very nice place.

Regards.
