Hatte schon mal gefragt.
Hat jemand Infos, warum in Sedona so gebaut/gebuddelt usw. wird?

Auf dem Photo hier im Reisebericht sah das ja ganz wüst aus!

Für mich sah es so aus, als ob die Hauptstrasse komplett neu gestaltet würde. Außerdem wurden glabe ich auch Rohre/Leitungen verlegt. War auf jeden Fall ein größeres Projekt.

Das, was man auf dem Bild sieht, waren definitiv Straßenbauarbeiten. Aufgenommen ist es an der Durchfahrtsstrasse mitten in der Einkaufsmeile.

Ich hatte das auch als Straße interpretiert, wie Doc schon schrieb.

Aber Palo, was wird denn für ein Hotel gebaut? Doch hoffentlich nichts größeres.

All I Want for Christmas is Uptown Sedona

Representatives from Tiffany Construction and the City of Sedona's Manager's Office were on hand at the Wayside Chapel on December 8, 2006 to provide an update on the progress of the Uptown Enhancement Project.

The meeting was attended by a handful of local Uptown businesses. The mood was friendly and jovial. Apparently, everyone sees a light at the end of the tunnel despite some previous delays. The Uptown Enhancement Project was to have originally been completed by early October and was delayed to the end of November, and then again to Christmas.

Although this was to have been the last meeting, City of Sedona Economic Planner, Jodi Filardo, said that there would be one more meeting on December 22nd at Wayside Chapel at 8a.m. According to Ms. Filardo, all of the construction along 89A in Uptown is expected to be completed before Christmas, save some final road resurfacing and reflective taping on the pedestrian walkways and parking spots.
Based on conversations between Tiffany Construction and the City of Sedona, Tiffany is targeting to complete the following work before Christmas:
1. Asphalt paving in front of Oaxaca Restaurant;
2. Concrete work on 89A including curbs, walls, and sidewalks;
3. Hand rails in front of Oaxaca;
4. Installation of the remaining 2 pedestrian lights and activation of all pedestrian lights;
5. Concrete work at the Amara driveway;
6. Curbs and gutters to Grumpy Joe's on the north side of Apple Avenue;
7. Ramp to the upper floor of Matterhorn Shoppes.
This week work was completed to enlarge the right of way to permit the Sedona RoadRunner to turn left at the Clear Creek Trading Post on 89A .
The biggest delay will be the completion of utility work on Apple Avenue, and access to Apple via 89A will be closed until mid-January. The Arizona power company, APS, will be working to connect new lines in preparation for the removal of the utility poles on each side of 89A. The actual removal of the utility poles has not been scheduled.

also wir waren im Oktober auch in Sedona und da war diese Baustelle im Zentrum auch schon. Strassenarbeiten und kein Häuserbau
