Ich kenne jetzt Deine letzte Planung nicht (habe auch keine Lust hier alles nochmal durchzulesen :rollen:)

Aber ESTA ist bestimmt das kleinste Problem. Falls Du es überhaupt brauchst, denn wenn Du auf dem Landweg einreist brauchst Du es nicht.
Aber: noch sind die Grenzen zwischen Kanada und USA dicht.
Und: vielleicht schaust Du Dich mal im englischen Tripadvisor-Forum um. Da schreiben die Einheimischen. Und sowohl die Kanadier als auch die Einwohner von Oregon, Washington und Kalifornien bitten immer wieder, doch daheim zu bleiben. Niemand ist glücklich über ausländische Touristen.

Die Nationalparks in Kanada sind derzeit noch geschlossen. In USA beginnt man ganz langsam mit der Öffnung. Aber alles nur für Einheimische. State Parks, etc. ist alles noch geschlossen.

Wenn es meine Entscheidung wäre: ich würde alles auf nächstes Jahr verschieben. Lieber jetzt noch ein bisschen Geld für Stornogebühren draufzahlen, als dann drüben zu sitzen und nichts unternehmen zu können.

Ach ja: die 14 Tage Quarantäne stehen ja auch noch irgendwo an.

Ich buche ja jetzt schon fleißig für nächstes Jahr im Juli und August. Blöd nur, dass da auch wieder Anzahlungen fällig sind.
Genau planen kann ich doch sowieso erst Anfang Juli, wenn ich weiß, was United Airlines macht.
Aber diese Ungewissheit nervt mich, was mache ich denn, wenn die Airline sich quer stellt und die Flüge anbietet, aber die NPs noch alle geschlossen sind?

Wir wollen eigentlich am 11. Juli diesen Jahres fliegen.

Die NPs sind nicht alle geschlossen, die beginnen gerade wieder mit Öffnungen. Wenn Du es genau wissen willst, kannst Du Dir ja die Meldungen zu den zu besuchenden NPs auf der nps.gov Seite anschauen. Ich glaube zwar nicht, dass man am 11.07. schon wieder rein kann, aber als Plan B wüsste man dann zumindest was geht und was nicht.

Kannst Du doch - nur nutzen kannst Du es derzeit nicht solange Proclamation 9993 etc. weiter in Kraft sind. Jeder der über ein aktives ESTA verfügt hätte eigentlich eine Mail bekommen müssen in der steht, dass eine Einreise während der Sperre zur Stornierung desselben führt.

Ob und wann die USA die Einreisesperre wieder aufheben steht in den Sternen, solange das nicht der Fall ist muss man sich auch über etwaige Reisewarnungen in DE keinen Kopf machen. Wenn es sich in den USA in den nächsten Wochen ähnlich verhält wie bei uns in Europa dann kann man evtl. mit Aufhebung der Sperre zum Herbst hin rechnen. Oder Hr. Trump beschließt es sei ein tolles Wahlkampfthema seine Bürger vor den bösen Ausländern zu beschützen und lässt die Sperre auch ohne triftigen Grund dann erstmal in Kraft.

Das ist jetzt nur ein "Bauchgefühl" aber ich glaube nicht das im Juli die Grenzen nach USA/Kanada wieder offen sind.
Es wird dir wahrscheinlich nichts anderes übrigbleiben als bis Mitte Juni zu warten.

Wie fliegst du denn, dann könnte man schon mal schauen, ob die Flüge zumindest im Juni stattfinden. Wenn die Einreisesperre noch gilt ist es aber sowieso egal.

Genau DAS schreiben die User aus CA/USA bei TA auch. Niemand rechnet dort mit offenen Grenze für alle.

Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, Tennessee and Kentucky:
Trails and backcountry camping open.

Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia/North Carolina:
Traffic will be allowed to travel Milepost 454 – 469
In addition, the following areas continue to be accessible: All parkway trails, and all other sections of the motor route in North Carolina and Virginia previously accessible to motor vehicle traffic.

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah:
The park reopened the main park road and all viewpoints to Rainbow Point,
Restrooms at Sunset Point (only restrooms open within the park), and trails within the Bryce Amphitheater area.
The park is open 24/7 but there are no options for overnight stays

Buffalo National River, Arkansas:
Beginning May 15, day use only access will resume for private and commercial floating on the Buffalo River, including all river access points
All trails within park boundaries, except for the Lost Valley Trail
Limited restroom facilities.

Cape Cod National Seashore, Massachusetts:
Footpath to Coast Guard Beach in Eastham.

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah:
Access reopens to day use in the South District (Waterpocket Fold), and overnight stays in Cedar Mesa campground
Day use in the North District (Cathedral Valley) and overnight stays in Cathedral Valley campground
Non-trailhead pullouts along Utah Highway 24 for scenic viewing

Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Oklahoma:
Road to Veterans Lake, which includes parking at Veterans Lake
Vault toilets at Veterans Lake, Veterans Lake Boat Launch; trails; Buckhorn, The Point, and Guy Sandy boat launches; fishing docks; picnic areas.

Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky:
All trails have reopened

Cumberland Island National Seashore, Georgia:
Beaches, public docking spaces, and trails are open.

Everglades National Park, Florida:
Main park road from the Homestead entrance to Flamingo
External restrooms at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, Flamingo Marina and boat launch ramps
Flamingo Marina Store, restrooms, and gas pumps
Flamingo Fish Cleaning Station and restroom,
Chekika Day Use Area (roads and surrounding areas only)
In addition, entry fees are waived, and the following spaces continue to be available: Marine waters of Everglades National Park, beach campsites in wilderness.

Fire Island National Seashore, New York:
All beaches and trails open.

Fort Donelson National Battlefield, Kentucky/Tennessee:
All park lands of Fort Donelson, during normal operating hours, park roads and trails for pedestrian use, river overlook and artillery batteries open.

Fort Laramie National Historic Site, Wyoming.
Grounds and trails open

George Washington Carver National Monument, Missouri:
Carver Trail, open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., picnic area, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., public restrooms, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Utah/Arizona:
All boats will be allowed to launch at the Lake Powell main launch ramps at Bullfrog and Wahweap for day use on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Public rest rooms on those launch ramps will also be open the same dates.
The Wahweap Swim Beach public restroom will reopen Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The public restroom at Dangling Rope will reopen Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Motorized and non-motorized small watercraft rentals at Wahweap and Bullfrog, for day use only, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The Wahweap Marina Store and Sinclair gas and retail.
Takeout food from the Wahweap Grille will be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Beginning May 15, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area will reopen access to:

Lake Powell Halls Crossing launch ramp will reopen to all boats Friday, Saturday, Sunday for day use only, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wahweap: Lodging, the Rainbow Room Restaurant, the Wind Café, Driftwood To Go/Drinks, Driftwood Pool, and Escalante Pool at Lake Powell Resort.
Wahweap: Wahweap Grille will begin offering limited indoor seating, in addition to takeout.

Beginning May 22, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area will reopen access to:
The Lake Powell Halls Crossing public launch ramp will reopen seven days a week to all boats and begin overnight use.
The following primitive campgrounds will be reopened for overnight use: Lone Rock (located between Greenhaven, Arizona and Big Water, Utah); and Stanton Creek (located near Bullfrog).

The following day use areas will be reopened: the Wahweap Overlook and the Chains area (both located near Page, Arizona); Farley Canyon (located near Bullfrog, Utah); and North Wash (located near Hite, Utah).
The Stateline Launch Ramp located in the Wahweap District near Page, Arizona, will be reopened, seven days a week.
The Lees Ferry Ramp restroom will be reopened, seven days a week.
Wahweap Picnic Area restrooms will reopen, seven days a week.

Gulf Islands National Seashore in Florida and Mississippi:
The Okaloosa area, no restrooms, the Naval Live Oaks Area, Santa Rosa Area open.

Hovenweep National Monument, Utah:
Beginning May 14, access will reopen to Roads, trails, and restrooms

Jewell Cave National Monument, South Dakota:
Surface trails open

Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Nevada:
Boulder Entrance Station, Lake Mead Parkway Entrance Station, Lake Mead Boulevard Entrance Station, Northshore Entrance Station, Cottonwood Cove Entrance Station.
Annual passes required for the following locations in Arizona: Willow Beach, Temple Bar, Katherine Landing.
Parking lots, launch ramps, overlooks, beaches and picnic areas will reopen.

Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky:
Surface trails are open

Mount Rainier National Park, Washington:
Backcountry  is accessible for dispersed recreation such as hiking and winter recreation

Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota:
Visitor center and educational and interpretive programs suspended, grounds open 5 a.m.-11 a.m.

Natchez Trace Parkway, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi:
Access has reopened to parking on the road shoulder, from mile marker 104 through 115 and the Ross Barnett Reservoir Overlook and parking lot
All other outdoor spaces, including all roadways, trails, pullouts, and roadside exhibits along the parkway remain accessible to the public.

Natural Bridges National Monument, Utah:
Beginning May 14, access will reopen to Roads, trails, and restrooms

New River Gorge National River, West Virginia.
All hiking trails open

Ninety Six National Historic Site, South Carolina:
Trails open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Ozark National Scenic Riverways, Missouri:
Park concession operations and outfitters will be authorized to open for business at their discretion, as they are able to meet CDC guidelines
Camping on gravel bars while engaging in multi-day floats and dispersed camping along the Ozark Trail while engaging in multi-day hikes will be allowed
The spring branch hiking trails at Big Spring and Alley Spring will reopen, as well as the staircase into Devils Well

Padre Island National Seashore, Texas:
Overnight beach camping on North Beach and South Beach, Yarborough Pass 4WD road

Pinnacles National Park, California:
The park is closed to all day-use visitors and vehicular traffic, although the campground is open for campers with reservations

Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, Kansas.
40 miles of trails are open

Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota:
All trails and trailheads within park boundaries, all roads in the North and South Unit (except South Unit road failure road), limited restroom facilities, picnic areas, backcountry camping and the Elkhorn Ranch Unit were all open.

Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve in Florida:
Visitors were allowed to access trails and boat ramps, including trails at Theodore Roosevelt Area, Spanish Pond and Cedar Point

Virgin Islands National Park, U.S. Virgin Islands:
Trails, beaches, parking areas, and waters are open.

Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, Missouri:
Tour road, battlefield, trails open

Wind Cave National Park, South Dakota:
Roads and trails open. Elevators remain out of commission, so no cave tours.

Gibt es schon irgendwelche weiterführenden Informationen bzgl. Grenzschließungen, Restaurant, Nationalpark Öffnungen?
Ich weiß aktuell echt nicht, was ich machen soll...
Abwarten, wenn du nicht zu viel Storno bezahlen möchtest.
Wenn die Flüge noch nicht storniert sind, ist das vielleicht ein gutes Zeichen. Die Airlines wissen vielleicht mehr als wir User hier und anderswo.
Esta kannst du doch auch noch 3 Tage vor dem Flug machen, das drängelt doch nicht. Oder du machst es einfach, es gilt doch dann nächstes Jahr auch noch.
Wie schon geschrieben wurde, erst mal müssen uns die USA rein lassen. Das ist im Moment nicht der Fall. Also abwarten.

Ich würde mir jetzt auch erstmal keine Hoffnungen machen. Einreisebeschränkungen werden ziemlich sicher Schrittweise aufgehoben. Kanada und Mexico sind am wichtigsten für die USA,
da könnte evtl. bald Bewegung rein kommen. Allerdings ist man auf Kanadischer Seite auch nicht so wahnsinnig an einer vorzeitigen Grenzöffnung interessiert.

Ich denke es läuft überall darauf hinaus, zunächst mal bilaterale Reisemöglichkeiten mit starker Überwachung unter Grenzstaaten zu ermöglichen. Danach wird man irgendwann auch
wieder Europäer rein lassen. Vor dem Herbst kann ich mir das aber auch nicht vorstellen, zudem gibt es auch in den USA wilde Kontroversen über eine zweite Welle im Herbst/Winter. Man schaut aktuell auf Singapur und Südkorea.

Auf der anderen Seite der wirtschaftliche Druck. Irgendein großes Land wird wohl den Anfang machen müssen und derzeit ist nicht seriös abzusehen wann das passieren wird. Da hilft nur abwarten.

Da hat Herr Seehofer gar nichts zu sagen - die Chinesen lassen einen (abgesehen von eng begrenzten Ausnahmen) nämlich schon seit 28. März nicht rein. Und wann die das ändern, steht in den Sternen und hängt sicher nicht von den Vorstellungen eines deutschen Innenministers ab.

Ich habe jetzt mal mit United Kontakt aufgenommen, also ich kann mich Ende Juni/Anfang Juli melden und die Flüge dann stornieren und umbuchen auf 2021.
Es fallen keine Stornogebühren an und man muss lediglich eine evtl. Differenzt bei den Buchungstarifen zahlen. Finde es super, dass man diese Airline ohne Probleme via Facebook Messenger kontaktieren kann. Da kann sich die Lufthansa mal eine Scheibe abschneiden, da renne ich auch heute (Nach 2 Monaten) immer noch hinter meinem Geld hinterher.
Was mich nur sehr stört ist diese Ungewissheit. Sicher wird Reisen nächstes Jahr eher möglich sein, aber ich habe Angst, dass es da zu anderen Einschränkungen kommt, z.B. Wanderwege gesperrt/Baustellen in den NPS oder sonst irgendwas. Gibt es denn schon irgendwelchegeplanten Baustellen z.B. im Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Banff, Jasper, Olympic oder Mt Rainier Nps?

Tolles Beispiel dafür habe ich auch für dieses Jahr in Deutschland. Ende Juni fahre ich ins Allgäu. Nun wurde bekannt gegeben, dass Söllereck und Nebelhorn Bahn nicht öffnen, da sie die Bauarbeiten vorgezogen haben. Sowas ärgert mich kollosal und ich hoffe, dass wenigstens die Wanderwege und Steige offen sein werden. Wird zwar anstrengender, aber ich will ja auch was erleben.

Immerhin dürfte die Aussicht auf den Peyto Lake nächstes Jahr wieder gewährleistet sein...
