Ich habe am 15.9. eine Übernachtung im Housekeeping Camp gebucht. Heute bekam ich eine Email vom Yosemite:
Travel Advisory: Yosemite National Park is Open.
You may have recently heard about the Rim Fire that originated in the Stanislaus National Forest and affected a portion of Yosemite. In anticipation of your upcoming visit we would like to share some valuable information and resources with you.
The latest air quality report calls for favorable wind conditions that "should keep air quality in the Yosemite Valley and areas south of the fire in the good to moderate range." If you have any concerns about current air quality conditions please visit the Rim Fire Air Quality Report for more details. You can also see current conditions in Yosemite Valley and the High Country by visiting the Yosemite Conservancy Webcams. Half Dome Webcam High Sierra Webcam
We hope you continue with your plans to visit, but should you decide to change dates or cancel, we understand. To make your planning easier we are reducing the 7-day cancellation policy to just 24-hour notice for guests scheduled to arrive on or before 9/15/13. If you would like to change or cancel your reservations please call us at 801-559-4963 to speak with a reservations specialist.
Current Access to Yosemite National Park:.
•Yosemite Valley is accessible via Highway 41 through Oakhurst and Highway 140 through Mariposa.
•The Big Oak Flat North Entrance/Highway 120 West is temporarily closed. During this temporary road closure the most direct route into Yosemite National Park for travelers from the Bay Area will be route Highway 140 through Merced and Mariposa, which adds approximately 15 - 30 minutes in drive time to Yosemite Valley.
•Highway 120 East is temporarily closed from Yosemite Creek to Crane Flat. Visitors have full access to Tuolumne Meadows from the park's east entrance on Highway 120/Tioga Road from Lee Vining but are not able to connect through to Yosemite Valley. All Tuolumne lodging and services are fully operational.
More detailed information on alternate routes to Yosemite during the Rim Fire is available on our website.
While conditions are improving and the outlook is positive, weather, air quality and road conditions are subject to change. For 24-hour road and weather information, please call 209-372-0200. We look forward to welcoming you to Yosemite.
Sincerely,
